Application possibilities

Rebond foam expansion sheets absorb stretch movement of pipelines at axial, lateral and / or angular deflections. The sheets are used for pipe protection in both above ground and underground piping systems, such as gas pipelines, sewage and district heating to:

  • Absorb the vibrations that pipelines and fittings, such as tees, elbows and reductions, may undergo
  • Absorb pipe expansions due to pressure or temperature changes of the medium in the pipe
  • Operate as a mass-spring system as protection for pipes under protective cover plates of reinforced concrete

Key benefits

With its open-cell structure and form stability, rebond foam acts as a reliable “memory foam”, functioning as a cushion that always returns to its original shape after being impacted. These two unique properties combined guarantee pipe protection through absorption of vibrations or pipeline expansions.

We manufacture sheets or pads in various thicknesses, with a nominal diameter of 60mm and a length of 1000 mm, for movement absorption and to safeguard piping. If extreme protection is required, additional layers of foam can be wrapped around the tubes.
